"My children (ages 9 and 10) and I have thoroughly enjoyed this movie. It is well written, professionally edited, wonderfully acted and has a great score. We highly recommend it to everyone of all ages!
My favorite part was when the Purrs throw the Christmas tree out the window and the Nutcracker ballet. I also loved the night before Christmas when Anders Larson was reading to his family. My favorite character was Josefina, she is wonderful. I also love Felicity - she is so different from her book character. My children's favorite characters: Liam (10) Nafy, of course. Everyone's gonna say that! and Naomi (9) Nafy, she's the star and I love her."

"It was awesome! Enough said. Seriously, everyone should watch this!! I really enjoyed that there were only dolls, and lots of them! Not many movies are made that way. I love the Merrimans' house, I wish I had a house like that! And my favorite scene was when Crystal and Katherine were taking down and putting up decorations because of the snow."

"Totally shows nearly everything about Pleasantville's holiday traditions, and characters. I think it's the best thing they have ever done, and a great way for both people and dolls to celebrate the holiday season! I especially enjoyed the Nutcracker and all the decorated houses, plus Christmas morning and the Grumpy Troll."

"The movie, "A Pleasantville Christmas" was wonderful! I loved how detailed the background and costumes for the Nutcracker were! There were funny moments, and touching moments. I love all the characters, and I think I've already watched it 7 times!! Thanks for all the hard work you put into this!
I especially enjoyed how much detail there was in the background, how different the voices are, and just about everything. My favorite scene was when Nafy was chasing the pheasant."

"A delightful movie bringing together a town of different time periods and nationalities and different holiday traditions. It made me feel warm inside and happy. I would love to buy property in Pleasantville, especially at Christmas! Great job, ourdolls!
I especially enjoyed all the traditions shown; Christmas, Mexican Christmas, Saint Lucia's day, I would like to see Hannukah though.
I liked it when Teresa and Nancy fell asleep by their Christmas trees on Christmas eve, and I really liked the theater scene. Also, I enjoyed each house. I liked the kitchen Megan cooked in and I liked the Merrimans' beds and their buggy."

"A Pleasantville Christmas is a wonderful movie that you should definitely watch during the holiday season! It features the Pleasantville characters all getting ready for Christmas, as well as a little story of Nafy and her parents. You can also see snow falling in the movie! There is so much beautiful Christmas music in it as well! So, be sure to watch a Pleasantville Christmas! You don't want to miss it!
One of my favorite scenes was when the Purrs threw their Christmas tree out the window, when they were "un-decorating." That made me laugh! I also really liked the Merriman and Parkington houses, and the theater where the Nutcracker was was also really cool!"

"I love this movie. It is so cute! Nafy is really funny and the town is so cute. It is a great watch. I especially enjoyed the sets, they are amazing. It reminds me of Road to Avonlea. My favorite scene was Mr. Montoya buying the necklace."

"A happy movie to get you in the Christmas spirit. Thank you so much for sharing this movie with us. I especially enjoyed getting to know some of Pleasantville's families better and Teresa playing with her dolls. I enjoy Nafy because she is outgoing, but I love Teresa's sweet quite personality. I loved how professional it was."

"I am sorry that this is so late but the holidays and New Years kept me busy as well as the transition back to school!!!! I received the movie on Christmas Eve and was able to watch it between getting ready and last minute wrapping. It was incredible!!! It is up there with my favorite movies!!! The message and morale was very clear!!! I actually cried during the scenes where Nafy is missing her mom. I lost the review sheet in the chaos of preparing for Christmas but I did have a chance to look it over so here is my review from what I can remember. My favorite areas that were shot in would be the Parkington's house and the Montoya's Rancho. My favorite character was a toss up between Nafy and Theresa(hope I spelled that right). Again thank you so much for this amazing gift!!!"

"Amazing. Amazing, amazing, hilarious and real. If you haven't watched this, I am certain you will love it! The DVD comes in a lovely package with cute stickers, but the movie is the real gem. Every character in Pleasantville comes alive and you will be amazed at the beauty of this story. I'm going to watch this every Christmas... you can guarantee that! I loved the absolute real-ness of the movie, it amazed me. All the characters came to live and I L.O.V.E.D. it. I enjoyed when Cristal and Katherine were putting up the Christmas tree and then taking it down- that is VERY Cristal."

"Thank you so much for this wonderful gift. My younger children and I have watched it several times now and we love it. My seven-year-old son is now a confirmed Nafy fan. After getting to know these characters over the last year or so I just love the consistency of the characters, and especially your amazing creativity. I really love the dolls, the costumes, and the miniatures. But your skill (all three plus your mom) at doll handling and acting is what makes it all come alive. Thank you again for this wonderful gift and have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year."

"The Nutcracker scene was very good! I loved the scenery. I was surprised that Mrs. Merriman might be home for Christmas. And I've never ever seen Nafy get mad! This is a must-see, so realistic and imaginative movie! It shows us that Christmas is all about family."

"I got mine today and watched it! "POSITIVELY MOUTH DROPPING!" AND "QUITE THE CHRISTMAS TRADITION!"
I love the movie I think I just watched my new Christmas tradition! My favorite scenes were when Elizabeth played pranks on Meagan, and when Nafy confides in her mars doll, and the montoya boys!
What surprised me the most about the movie, was when Nafy ran out from caroling practice, and went in her room crying.
The movie was great, it will always be cherished by me!!!"

"I literally stalked the mailman waiting for my movie to get here! I couldn't stop screaming, which attracted a lot of weird looks from my family and even my dog.....;)
When I started watching though, I was awed into silence. The magic of the first snow in Pleasantville made me smile. Little kids truly are that excited when it first snows, I always was.
I laughed out loud a LOT during the movie because of the Pleasantville character's antics. When Mr. Montoya went into the General Store I was cracking up and I about died with laughter when Juan and Antonio were stealing from the kitchen....
Also, the whole Nutcracker scene is magical beyond belief! The way you put it together, with the dolls watching and the theater, I was in awe. When Nafy was crying in her room I felt the pain with her, my best friend even cried at that part! This is an example at how realistic you truly are!!
This whole movie is beyond anything I could have imagined! To think how you three girls have taken normal dolls and made them special personalities and houses out of wood and even cardboard is something not everyone would think of. You must love each of your dolls, I know I do, because they all have so much character and are so special.
I could go on and on and I want too, but I guess I should leave room for others on this reviews page. Don't worry, you'll be getting a review in the mail from me as well.....:D
Overall I'd have to sum the movie up into this:
I Look into this magical town, though it may be smaller than my town, it is a town that has amazing traditions and wonderful little people. I have lived in Pleasantville through this movie. It is as if I were there myself and I enjoyed it very, very much.
Full of heartwarming characters, great music and intricate doll houses, this movie is full of love and laughter. It's something you'll want to watch over and over. Definitely a holiday treat!
Thanks you Gothards! Thanks SO much for all the work and I hope you know it was worth it because it was. This was truly a great gift for you to give this holiday season and you are pleasing girls around the world, including a very happy me. "

"I just wanted to say that the movie is amazing; I love it! It's my new favorite (not counting The Doll Nutcracker). I thought everything was very realistic; I love how nicely the shots flow and the sound effects were great; where did you get them? All of your hard work definitely shows. I got mine yesterday and watched it twice with my dolls. The movie was AMAZING! The effects were great and the music is timed just right. I loved when Josefina was lighting the candles,it looked so real. The movie is like your photo stories come to life, but 10 times better! You can tell lots of care and love went into this movie. The best Our Dolls movie yet!
Pleasantville Christmas is a very magical movie starring the dolls of Pleasantville, and everyone's favorite kitty, Nafy Merriman. This movie will have you laughing, crying, and staring in awe as this wonderful movie plays out in front of you. Sometimes you may even forget that those are dolls on the screen, not people, because everything looks very realistic.
I enjoyed how the movie showed everyone (well, mostly everyone) celebrating Christmas. The way it was directed by showing one family then another. Really cool! I can't pick just one favorite scene, but what makes me laugh is the Montoya boys and Elizabeth, Cristal and Katherine with their tree. What makes me sad is when Nafy is sad, (she REALLY does look sad!), what makes me happy is Christmas morning, and what makes me watch in awe is the Nutcracker scene and the Silent Night scene (all the dolls you have to control.... wow!)"
